SCARECROW - Karim Zeroual

Karim is a television presenter and theatre performer best known for anchoring CBBC for 7 years and reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2019, he then went on to perform at arenas around the country on the official Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour.

Over the course of his career on television he has brought together his passion for presenting and performing by hosting “Young Dancer of the Year” and “Dance Passion” on BBC FOUR as well as fronting events with the BBC National Orchestra. In 2020 he presented BBC Bitesize educating the nation's children during lockdown.

In 2019 he hosted a BBC travel and sport documentary “A Week to beat the World” taking British children to countries including Guatemala, Brazil and Japan to learn the national sport and compete against a local team.

In march 2020 he took part in the Sport Relief challenge, trekking across the Namibian desert, which aired as a 60-minute Documentary on BBC one. And in early 2021 he starred in both “Celebrity best home cook” (BBC ONE) and “Celebs go dating” (E4).

As well as presenting, Karim has a huge passion for both acting and performing. Having trained during his formative years at the prestigious Sylvia Young Performing Arts School, followed by Urdang Arts Academy.


He has starred in numerous television shows, including, Eastenders, Da Vinci’s Demons, and three series of The Sparticle Mystery, as well as on the West End stage in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Far Pavillions and The Lion King.

Karim was thrilled to return to the West End in 2021 appearing as Presenter and Primary dancer in hit show Here Come the Boys (The London Palladium and UK tour). He made his pantomime debut as Peter Pan at the Hawth theatre last year and has just recently finished starring as King Julian in Madagascar the Musical UK and international tour.

TIN MAN - Alister Wilmott

Alister’s many professional credits include Cruise contracts as Lead Male production Vocalist onboard P&O Oriana and Aurora, and Costa Mediterranea. He has many lead acting credits including ‘Phillip’ in Alyn Ayckbourn’s ‘Relatively Speaking’, premiering at sea onboard P&O Cruises, the first major full length play to do so. He is also a headline act for Fred Olsen and P&O Cruises.

Other International credits include ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Alister has also performed at Jebel Sifah Resort in Oman, as Prince Charming in Cinderella.

Here in the UK, Alister has been a part of Theatre tours of the ‘Little Mermaid’ and ‘Forever in Blue Jeans’. He has also been involved in performing and producing Professional Pantomimes in China and the Far East.

LION - Joshua Handley

Josh has been performing, locally and professionally since the age of 6.

DOROTHY - Sophie Baxter

Sophie trained at Performance Preparation Academy (PPA), Guildford. Credits whilst training include Nicki in Sweet Charity (Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford), Ensemble in Flashdance (Electric Theatre, Guildford) and Kit Kat Girl in Cabaret (Bellerby Studio Theatre, Guildford).

Professional Credits include Miss Stacey/Wallace Simpson in A Girl Miss Red (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023), Maid Marion in Robin Hood (The Corn Hall and Ropetackle Arts Centre), Lead Vocalist for Live Business (Majorca) and Kara the Elf in Santa Claus and the Magical Christmas Journey (Swindon Arts Centre).

Sophie teaches at Little Dancers, Bath, as well as her own company, Sophie Louise Performing Arts, in Bristol. 

GLINDA - Amanda Board Salmon

On graduating from Italia Conti Academy Amanda made her professional debut in London’s West End playing the lead role of Pearl in Starlight Express at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Her extensive West End credits include; Eponine in Les Miserables Palace Theatre, Sophie in Mamma Mia Prince Edward Theatre, Sandy in Grease at The Royal Albert Hall & Arena Tour, and Linda in Blood Brothers Phoenix Theatre.

Amanda has also performed in many Pantomimes over the years including the role of Wendy in Peter Pan, alongside Henry Winkler.

Various TV appearances including: Live at the London Palladium and Eponine in Les Miserables, The 25th Anniversary at The 02 Arena.

Amanda is the Principal & co owner of, The Bristol School Of Performing Arts “Dare to Dream”

WICKED WITCH - Louise Kempson

Louise began her training at Newcastle College of Performing Arts then later acquired further training at Arts Ed. During this time Louise has performed professionally all over the country. Recent roles she has played Maria-The Sound of Music, Kate-Kiss me Kate, Baroness Bomburst-Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mrs Lyons-Blood Brothers, Barbara Castle-Made in Dagenham, Maureen in the world premier of Goodnight Sweetheart and Miss Lodge in Whistle Down the Wind at the Union Theatre, London. Louise also supported Ramin Karimloo as guest singer on his UK tour. Louise also won Britain’s Official Wannabe Wicked Competition to be on stage with the cast of Wicked, at the London Apollo Theatre.

Over the past few years Louise has portrayed many a Panto Villain playing Gothel in Rapunzel-Polka Dot Pantomimes. Carrion in Rapunzel-Five Star Theatre. Wicked Witch of the West in Wizard of Oz-Curtain Call Theatre Ltd. Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Gulch in Wizard of Oz-Matthew Revell Griffiths Ltd, Wicked Witch of the West/Miss Snitch-Alhambra Theatre Dunfermline, Queen Morgana in Snow White-Polka Dot Pantomimes, The Narrator/Dolly in Jack and the Beanstalk-Alhambra Theatre Dunfermline. 

Apart from the Christmas Pantos Louise also takes part in Adult Pantos at the Basildon Towngate Theatre with Coldham Productions. 

Louise can't wait to be back with Polka Dot Pantomimes this Easter and would like to thank her family and friends for their support over the years. This performance is dedicated to Louise’s Dad, Jim- Love Never Dies.

WIZARD - Julian Charles

Bristol born and bred, Julian Charles is a graduate of the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts (B.I.P.A), achieving a BA Honours in Musical Theatre.

Displaying incredible versatility, Julian has performed in the musicals Titanic, We Will Rock You, Merrily We Roll Along, Drink up Thy Cider, Pippin and Sweeney Todd. He currently works as an actor for Warwick Castle during the summer and Santa Claus at Lapland during winter, though he recently enjoyed appearing in Neal Fosters Horrible Histories (Wicked Warwick).

Outside of theatre, he has fulfilled the roles of Assistant Cruise Director on Emerald Princess cruises and “Boys in a boat” directed by George Clooney.

Outside of his Performing life, Julian has a handicap of 4 in golf.
